Booking Terms & Conditions.
Dahab Accommodation accepts bookings by telephone, WhatsApp, email, in person, or online through our website or our Facebook/ Instagram pages.
When you make a booking, by any means, and we confirm that booking, you are accepting these booking terms and conditions.
A contract between you and us will start when you have paid a deposit, if we ask for one, and/ or when we confirm your booking. This contract applies to you and all members of your party. It is your responsibility to ensure that all members of your party accept the terms of the contract set out in these terms and conditions of booking. If you, or one of your guests, do not comply with these terms, we may cancel your booking. If you are already staying at the property, we may ask you to leave. In these circumstances, we will not refund any money already paid to us.
Therefore, please ensure you read and fully understand these booking terms and conditions. If anything is unclear, please contact us so we can explain in further detail to avoid any misunderstandings.
All accommodation bookings are subject to the following terms and conditions:
Before arrival
Egyptian law forbids unmarried couples, where one or both are Egyptian, from staying in the same property. So, for legal reasons, we cannot accept bookings from unmarried couples or mixed groups.
We do not accept bookings from people under 21 years of age.
We do not accept pets.
At busy times of the year, we may ask you to pay a non-refundable 25% deposit of the total cost of the booking before we confirm it. Payment can be made in cash, via bank transfer, Vodafone Cash or credit card. We will provide payment details at the relevant time.
You must tell us in writing - by WhatsApp or Messenger or email - if you wish to cancel your booking. If you cancel your stay, we will not refund any deposit you have paid.
We will not cancel your confirmed booking except in exceptional circumstances beyond our control. We will tell you about the cancellation as soon as possible and we will promptly refund all payments already made.
We reserve the right to refuse a booking without giving any reason.
On arrival
The full amount of your stay, or the balance if you paid a deposit in advance, must be paid when you arrive at the property. If you do not pay, then we may cancel your booking.
By law we are required to take a copy of the passport or ID of all adults, and the marriage paper of Egyptian couples, staying at the property for registration with the tourist police. We will do this at check-in.
During your stay
We want all guests to relax and enjoy the facilities we provide and we work hard to ensure they can do this to maximum effect. In return we ask guests to treat the property with the same respect that they would with their own house.
We ask guests:
Please park vehicles in the places indicated to you, ensuring cars do not block access to other properties. Parking is limited to 2 vehicles.
Please lock the doors and close the windows when you leave the property unoccupied.
Please make sure you switch off lights, heating, air conditioning or any electrical appliances when you go out – we strive to be an eco-friendly accommodation service.
Please do not move any furniture from one room to another.
Please don’t take any bath towels with you to the beach.
Please respect the community and try to keep noise levels to a minimum, especially between 11 pm and 8 am.
We respectfully ask those guests who smoke or vape to do so outside, not inside the property. We will charge you for extra cleaning caused by smoking.
If you have children with you, you are responsible for the safety and security of their children at all times. Never leave children without adult supervision.
You must not host any parties or events, and only those people on the booking can stay at the property.
You may in no circumstance re-let or sublet the property, even free of charge.
Damages & breakages
Please treat the accommodation with reasonable care so that other guests may continue to enjoy it.
If you notice something is missing or damaged in your accommodation, please let us know immediately so that we can take the appropriate action.
If there has been any damage or breakages during your stay, we would be grateful if you could report them promptly, especially before check-out.
We will not be liable for any temporary defect or malfunction of any equipment, machinery or appliance in the building during your stay.
No compensation will be given for any temporary outage of electricity, gas, water, or internet connection.
We reserve the right to enter the property at any time to undertake essential maintenance or for inspection purposes.
The accommodation will be inspected at the end of the holiday & you may be charged for any loss or damage.
We are not responsible for the loss of any personal belongings or valuables.
Check-in and Check-out
Bookings normally begin at 14:00 on the date of check-in and guests are required to vacate the property by 12 noon on the day of departure, unless otherwise agreed. This allows the accommodation to be thoroughly cleaned and prepared for incoming guests.
We reserve the right to make a charge to cover additional cleaning costs if you leave the property in an unacceptable condition.
Please note that if any keys issued are not returned at the end of your stay, then the cost of replacement will be charged to you.
Complaints
If you have any problem or complaint during your stay, please report these to us immediately and we will try to put things right.
Other
We review these terms and conditions from time to time. We reserve the right to make reasonable amendments or additions to these terms and conditions without notice.
